October 2026Emberwood
Emberwood is a thoughtfully planned residential infill community located along Homedale Road in Nampa, Idaho. Situated on approximately 8.98 acres, the project includes 46 single-family homesites designed to bring quality housing to an established area experiencing continued growth and redevelopment.
I led the annexation and preliminary plat process, working to establish a residential land use that complements the surrounding mix of established neighborhoods, multifamily housing, and commercial development. A key focus was creating an appropriate transition between these uses while supporting the City of Nampa’s goals for responsible infill development and a range of housing opportunities.
The community is designed around connectivity, open space, and neighborhood interaction. The plan includes 1.39 acres of qualified open space, representing 15.5% of the site, with interconnected walking paths linking homes to a central gathering area. Planned amenities include a picnic pavilion, fire pit, nature playground, recreation lawn, nature garden, and landscaped seating areas.
Throughout the planning process, I worked to bring together the site’s land use strategy, infrastructure considerations, and community design to create a cohesive neighborhood that makes meaningful use of its location. With convenient access to shopping, services, and employment centers in both Nampa and Caldwell, Emberwood offers an opportunity to introduce new housing while respecting the character of the surrounding area.
Emberwood reflects a thoughtful approach to infill development, balancing additional housing opportunities with accessible open space, neighborhood connectivity, and a design intended to support long-term livability.
